ABSTRACT
Technology-based learning, such as Quizizz, can create an enjoyable learning condition by helping the students activate their background knowledge before reading and evaluating their comprehension after reading. This article has aim to know the students respond and strength weaknesses of Quizizz application in teaching reading comprehension was carried out in X MIPA 3 at MAN 1 Kediri that consist of to 36 students. This case study using qualitative approach in while the data collection. The result of data analysis showed that: 1) students respond toward the facilities of Quizizz application in teaching reading comprehension was positive. Quizizz application it provides promptly score and result, it is fun and competitive learning, 2) strength and weaknesses using Quizizz application. Students feel that using Quizizz application has many advantages, such as they feel happy, their competitive spirit appears, knows the score and can directly evaluate it, but they also feel a weakness in using Quizizz, that is Quizizz requires a stable signal. In conclusion, students has positive respond toward Quizizz application because it provides promptly score and result. The suggestion for the teacher is to pay attention to which aspect of students’ difficulties in the material of the subject.
