ABSTRACT
In the current era of globalization, mastery of English is a must for every individual. This is caused by English is the gateway to access and master science and technology is developing so rapidly. Learners will acquire these abilities through the educational process in schools, especially through a meaningful learning process. Speaking is the activity of two or more people in sending and receiving information or messages verbally communication. In the speaking class, the teacher carries out teaching and learning activities using descriptive text. Therefore, students are practicing speaking and describing orally. To improve student activities in student speaking classes must have the ability in Pronunciation, Vocabulary, Fluency, and Comprehension. This is quantitative research. This study aims to determine whether the use of the guessing game method is effective. The research sample amounted to 25 students in one class at SMK PGRI 4 Kediri in eleventh grade. The data in this study was carried out using a One-shot Case Study. The results showed that using the guessing game method students were able to get a good oral score. The findings show that. The average score result is 80. Compared to the criteria assessment in the previous chapter, which is included in the category of “Effective” the percentage of “Effective” criteria is 70% -86%.
