ABSTRACT

The Covid-19 pandemic requires all activities to be carried out online including school teaching and learning activities. This study aims to explain the implementation of Google Meet to facilitate students writing skill in senior high school, which include the obstacles faced by the teacher when implementation the use Google Meet to facilitate students’ writing skill. This research design used descriptive qualitative with the case study. The data about the implementation of Google Meet to facilitate students’ writing skill in senior high school were collected using interview and observation with an English teacher and 32 student’s class X. The results of this study indicate that (1) the implementation of the use of Google Meet Share Screen is mainly used by the teacher to explain the material through PPT; then (2) the obstacle faced by the teacher when facilitate students’ writing skill using Google Meet is that the teacher cannot know directly whether the material conveyed is understood by all students.
