ABSTRACT
Writing is a process of thinking to invent ideas, thinking about how to express into good writing, and arranging the ideas into clear statements and paragraphs. However, the fact is a lot of students had difficulties in writing. They cannot put their ideas into writing because they are confused about what they want and should write. Therefore, the teacher plays an important role to make teaching writing more enjoyable to the students and they are motivated to write. Using Realia through ZOOM application is the solution. The aims of this research were to know the students’ writing skill before and after using Realia via ZOOM. The writer used quantitative approach and experimental was chosen in the form of pre-test, treatment, and post-test design. The writer conducted two meetings and technique analyzing pre-test and post-test was used formula of T-test and calculate by SPSS version 16.0. This research’s result showed that the total score pre-test was 1400 while post-test was 1706. The total mean of pre-test score was 63,77 while post-test was 77,68. T-score was showed that the result of t-score was 10,034 at degree of freedom 21. The t-table was 2,832 at the degree of significance 1% and 2,079 at the degree of significance of 5%. Which means t-score higher than t-table (10,034>2,079). It means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. In conclusion, the writer was interested in proving the claim that there is a substantial effect of using Realia via ZOOM on the students’ writing skill in first grade pupils at SMAN 4 Kediri.
